Brazilian Orchids and more...This is the ideal place to see, photograph, and research Brazilian Orchids.
You can discover the region on your own or take your time to relax at the natural Orchid Garden built by Dr. Fritz Dungs (co-author of the book Orchidaceae Brasilienses). At the Eco Lodge Itororó we offer a variety of hiking tours which will lead you to the Atlantic Rainforest and the Campos de Altitude (a series of cool-humid, mountaintop grasslands). Here you will see Oncidiums, Laelias, Cattleyas, Maxilarias, Pleurotalis and of course, other interesting flora and fauna such as Bromeliads, Philodendrons, Palm trees, small monkeys, and an enormous variety of birds and much more.
